Age Group Blue
Refining technique in all four strokes and gaining confidence in competition.

Program Overview
Age Group Blue swimmers begin to fine tune their technique for all four strokes while also learning how to apply what they learn in a competition, aiming to swim the 200m Individual Medley in less than 4 minutes. This qualifies them for the *LMR (Lower Mainland Regional) level swim meets. Extra emphasis is put on how to read sets and intervals, use the pace clock, swimming in a lane with many other athletes, and gradually exposing them to longer durations of training. These swimmers practice 4-5 times per week and participate in at least one swim meet each month aiming to qualify for the Swim BC Divisional Championships. Our expectation for these swimmers is that they are able to attend a minimum number of workouts, while also participating actively in other sports.

Meet the Coach

Devon Dupuis
Assistant Coach & AGG, AGB and JDB Coach
Devon Dupuis swam competitively with the Winskill Dolphins for 8 years before continuing his swimming career in Germany for another 3 years. He began coaching in 2022 with the Port Moody Aquarians, working with both younger and senior groups.
As a coach, Devon focuses on consistent technique, mental strength, and enjoyment of the sport. He believes strong fundamentals and confidence help athletes reach their full potential and enjoys supporting swimmers as they grow, achieve their goals, and build confidence.
“Our son has been part of the Winskill Dolphins Swim Club for many years, and the growth we have seen has been remarkable. The coaching staff create a supportive environment that challenges swimmers to reach their potential while building confidence, discipline, and resilience. We have watched Aiden develop not only as a swimmer but also as a young man, and we are grateful to be part of such a positive and welcoming community.”
